Our 2020 response statistics are now available. Our all-volunteer department ran 202 emergency calls last year. Early Morning Truck Fire on I-78
Around 2:00am on 5/30, Station 51 and Berks county station 46 were dispatched for a truck fire on I-78 west. 5101 arrived on scene and confirmed a working fire. 51 crews arrived shortly after and deployed an attack line with foam to extinguish the fire. Christmas Eve Car Fire
On the afternoon of Christmas Eve, Stations 51, 8, 17, and 62 were dispatched to a car fire with exposure. Chief 5101 arrived on scene and confirmed a working fire. Shortly thereafter, Engine 5111 was on scene and quickly knocked down the fire. Crews performed overhaul and were released shortly after.
2nd Alarm Structure Fire in Berks
At approximately 10:40am on 12/15/17, Station 51 was dispatched to a 2nd alarm commercial structure fire in Lynn Township. Station 51 Responds to MVA on I-78
On 11/21/2017 in the afternoon, Stations 51, 8, 56, and 62 were dispatched to I-78 Eastbound for a reported Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) with Rollover & Rescue. 5101 arrived on scene and reported negative rescue. Station 62 transported one patient to the hospital while the remaining stations provided spill and traffic control.
